DNS TXT record verification is the most reliable method for Silver tier domain verification. Here's how to do it on the most common platforms: **Cloudflare:** 1. Log in to Cloudflare dashboard 2. Select your domain 3. Go to DNS > Records 4. Click Add Record 5. Type: TXT, Name: @, Content: [paste your verification token from AI Verified dashboard] 6. TTL: Auto 7. Click Save 8. Return to AI Verified and click Verify β€” usually confirmed within 2 minutes **GoDaddy:** 1. My Products > DNS 2. Add > TXT Record 3. Host: @, TXT Value: [your token], TTL: 1 hour 4. Save β€” allow up to 30 minutes for propagation **Namecheap:** 1. Domain List > Manage > Advanced DNS 2. Add New Record > TXT Record 3. Host: @, Value: [your token], TTL: Automatic 4. Save β€” usually propagates within 5–10 minutes **cPanel (most hosting providers):** 1. Zone Editor > Manage > Add Record 2. Type: TXT, Name: yourdomain.com, Record: [your token] 3. Add Record If you're unsure which DNS provider you're using, run: nslookup -type=NS yourdomain.com

For Cloudflare users: make sure you're not proxying the TXT record (orange cloud). TXT records should always be DNS-only (grey cloud).

I spent 20 minutes troubleshooting before realising I'd added the record to the wrong domain. Make sure you're editing the root domain, not a subdomain.

The nslookup tip is genuinely useful. A lot of small business owners don't know who manages their DNS.
