Feedback: the verification process could be clearer for non-technical users

Constructive feedback after helping 8 non-technical clients through the verification process: **What's confusing:** 1. **DNS TXT record instructions** β€” The instructions say "add a TXT record" but don't explain where to find DNS settings. Non-technical users don't know what a DNS record is or where to find it. A step-by-step guide with screenshots for the top 5 DNS providers (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, cPanel, Wix) would help significantly. 2. **The difference between domain verification and company registration verification** β€” Several clients thought completing domain verification meant they were "fully verified". The distinction between Silver (domain) and Gold (company registration) needs to be clearer. 3. **The badge embed code** β€” "Add this to your website" is too vague. Most non-technical users don't know where to add code to their website. Platform-specific instructions (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify) would reduce support requests. 4. **The forensic hash** β€” The term "forensic hash" is confusing to non-technical users. "Verification code" or "unique identifier" might be clearer without losing accuracy. **What's working well:** - The registration form itself is clear and well-structured - The dashboard status indicators are intuitive - The email notifications are timely and helpful

The DNS TXT record guidance is the most common support issue. Platform-specific screenshots would reduce friction significantly.

The 'forensic hash' terminology is a fair point. It's accurate but intimidating. 'Verification fingerprint' might be a better balance between accuracy and accessibility.

This feedback is noted and will be incorporated into the next UX review. The DNS guide with platform-specific screenshots is already in progress.
