Quick thing we see regularly: businesses run Google's Rich Results Test, see errors, panic, and start changing their schema in ways that make things worse. Most schema validation errors are warnings, not failures. "Missing recommended field" means the schema is valid but incomplete. "Missing required field" is the one to fix. Check which type of error you have before changing anything. The validator labels them differently and the distinction matters.
