CLEARWATER, Fla. — Sept. 3, 2026 — Security Brief reports that GBG, the London-listed identity and location group, launched Reach to score address data used by AI agents.

“Reach is the first offering in GBG for Agents, a new portfolio designed to give AI systems policy-based decision support when handling address information.”

— Security Brief, 28 August 2026

The same report quotes Kartik Venkatesh of GBG saying agents will run more of the identity and location journey — onboarding, checkout, fulfilment — but that someone in the chain still has to make a decision on real data.

What was launched

Reach is described as a check on an address an agent is holding, with a confidence score from 0.0 to 1.0. Existing Loqate customers can switch it on with the key they already have, according to the same article. GBG also repeats industry forecasts from Gartner and McKinsey about agents and data quality. Those figures stay in the source.

What that check is not

It is not a public business record. It does not tell a customer which company owns the website. It does not attest a contractor licence. It does not replace a government register.

AI Verified publishes a public file for the operating company. An agent that can confirm a delivery address is useful. An agent that still cannot name the legal firm behind the checkout is a different problem. Do not collapse those two jobs into one press sentence.

This desk did not test Reach. The product claims belong to GBG. The distinction belongs here.
