Why domain control matters
Anyone can discuss a brand in text. Controlling the apex or www domain is a practical signal that the operator can speak for the organization’s primary web identity.
AI Verified uses domain attestation as the Silver website-connection check: the same identity stays the surface; Silver is recorded when the listed website connection is confirmed.
Three-step plan
- Open the unique upgrade link for the passport (
/upgrade?hash=…). - Add the DNS TXT record or the meta tag shown for that domain.
- Confirm. On success, the website connection is recorded as Silver. Silver is free. Gold is a separate $297/year choice and does not itself verify the website.
Time delay is minutes when DNS or site access is available. Effort is one record and one verification check — not a multi-week audit theater.
